The class leading MT500 Waterproof Jacket has been revamped to ensure it keeps up with the demands of the progressive world of mountain biking. Available in men’s and women’s version, it retains all of the considered features that have built its universal appeal. With stacks of pockets, various clever venting options and an adjustable hood among the extensive list it takes a quantum leap forward with improved, slightly slimmer fit, styling and detailing to continue its reign as the undisputed king of mountain bike jackets.
The new two-way zips on the front pockets doubling as vents ensure that these work brilliantly both as pockets and vents. The hood construction and adjustment system have been improved so that the hood can now be worn over a helmet but also without a helmet on. Moving to the new ExoShell40DR and featuring a fully seam-sealed construction, the MT500 Waterproof Jacket combines monster breathability with durability for fiendishly fun foul weather mountain bike epics.
The fabric at the heart of the killer new MT500 waterproof collection boasts the same category leading breathability and waterproof ratings as the standard ExoShell40 but with the durability (DR) dialled up to tackle the harshest mountain terrain. A tough, durable outer layer is paired with a soft touch, high wicking mesh inner layer that efficiently moves moisture away from your skin and through the super-fine fluorine free membrane sandwiched in the middle. As with all of our waterproofs, ExoShell40DR is treated with an environmentally friendly PFC free DWR treatment. This fabric is also certified as having been made in a way that eliminates harmful substances from the supply chain; ensuring that products are safe for consumers, workers and the environment.
Also updated for AW20 is the the MT500 Waterproof Onesie. Our do-it-all, foul-weather one piece just got even better. We’ve kept the successful one piece, split front design for maximum mud protection and comfort fit, however significant changes have been made to the construction around the rear with the “jacket” tail now extending further down. A gusseted attachment to the waistband improves fit with less pulling on this crucial part, and allows for more height accommodation. The onesie now features more of a jacket and pants “separates” look. The heavily sprayed rear area also benefits from improved waterproofing.
We’ve also seriously turned up the “All Mountain” dial to create the latest and greatest iteration of the MT500 Waterproof Trouser and MT500 Waterproof Short. With the new, more durable ExoShell40DR fabric and styling update to keep them in line with the rest of the revamped MT500 waterproof collection, these are sure to be your go to wet weather trousers for rides to come. Made from exceptionally breathable and durable ExoShell40DR three layer waterproof fabric in a fully seam-sealed construction, the trouser as well as the short are pre-shaped for great on bike articulated fit with stretch panels for unrestricted movement. They feature water resistant hand pockets, an extra durable seat panel, knee pad compatible fit, and belt loops and zipped fly popper closure. The MT500 Waterproof Trouser II has long, thigh height two way water repellent side zips which make the trousers easy to get on and off, with the top half of the zips doubling up as thigh vents with mesh gussets.
