Good bibs
4 out of 5 stars
We’ll I got the black/red bibs on sale in size xl and should have gotten a size large. It’s hard to buy stuff on line even using the size charts. I’m 168lbs 6’ long legs and arms and a more rounded butt so with having skinny legs my thighs are a solid 21 inches. So I tend to get most all bibs and shorts climbing up on me into my center section.  I’m on a bike that I use for gravel, pavement and a little single track, it’s a Trek Dual Sport 3 that’s got a carbon fiber fork and seat post and a Brooks C17 saddle 700c X 42c wheels and tires my set bone is between a 155 & 165 mm depending on body position. I also have a Trek mtb and that is my favorite I’ve been on the podium in 24 hour solo mtb racing 3 times since 2004 having not raced in over 10 years I went to Wausau WI last year and did 190 miles of racing so yeah I know what what a pain in the ass is.  I firmly believe that over the years I’ve done some damage too myself riding saddles that were too narrow so that being said it has become a nightmare trying to get comfortable on the bike for endurance riding. So far I only have a few rides on these bibs the first being a 32 mile ride on I loved them for that ride, then the next ride was 55 miles after about 40 miles in I had a little bit of becoming uncomfortable in the sit bones but just standing up and pedaling for a bit then sitting down again and I was fine for awhile then I had too keep repeating that process and like I said it is probably more of a problem with my body than anything else and the very fact that I found a bib in my arsenal that the gel had moved completely over to the other side of the sit bones area so it was double on one side and nothing on the other so I’m sure I’m still recovering from that so I’ll see if can update my review after I get some 80 to 100 mile rides on these bibs.
